Anthrax’s Scott Ian was joined by his 10-year-old son in a candy tribute to Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins, who died on March 25. The guitarist and his son, Revel Younger Ian, who accompanied him on drums, carried out quite a few Foo Fighters songs in an Instagram video, which Ian shared on his profile on Sunday (April 3).
“Paying homage to Taylor…we’ve been jamming our favourite Foo’s all week. Therapeutic our hearts with the facility of rock,” Ian captioned the clip. “We love you Taylor and Dave and Pat and Chris and Nate and Rami.” The video, which was shared as an Instagram reel, featured clips of the duo jamming the Foo Fighters songs “Low,” “Stacked Actor” and “Run.”
This isn’t the primary time Ian has paid tribute to Hawkins. Following information of the drummer’s demise, the Anthrax guitarist shared a selfie on March 28 with Hawkins and Foo Fighters rhythm guitarist Pat Smear, captioning the picture on Instagram, “A flight dwelling from London – Taylor and I switched seats so we might maintain on and we ended up speaking for 8 hours He was a man you can speak to for 8 hours This pic was a selfie I texted my son – these guys are a few of his heroes, mine too.
Ian typically shares movies of himself taking part in with Revel, who joined the Foo Fighters on stage in 2019 on the Bourbon & Past pageant when he was simply 8 years outdated to carry out “Everlong” on guitar. The daddy-son duo have beforehand coated songs from System of a Down, Sepultura and Helmet.
