RICHMOND, Va. (WDBJ) – Governor Glenn Youngkin introduced that he’ll donate his first quarter 2022 wage to the Virginia Legislation Enforcement Help Program (VALEAP), a company devoted to “serving to regulation enforcement officers and first responders who’ve skilled incidental crucial trauma within the line of obligation or of their private lives,” in line with the governor’s workplace.
The announcement follows a wage pledge made throughout his 2021 marketing campaign. He says he’s donating $43,750 to VALEAP’s post-critical incident seminar in Harrisonburg.
“I’m dedicated to serving our Commonwealth with out taking pay as a result of I wish to proceed to offer again to the Commonwealth and assist Virginians in any method I can,” Youngkin stated. “I’ve chosen to donate my wage to the Virginia Legislation Enforcement Help Program (VALEAP) due to their essential mission in aiding regulation enforcement and first responders who’ve skilled traumatic crucial incidents.
