New deal might spoil Frontier-Spirit merger

JetBlue Airways, the New York-based service identified for its vary of in-flight TVs, free Wi-Fi and stylish snacks, has made an unsolicited $3.6 billion bid to purchase the no-frills airline Spirit.

JetBlue stated late Tuesday that the proposal was “superior” to the merger settlement between Spirit and Frontier introduced in February and was “essentially the most engaging alternative” for Spirit shareholders.
